Appreciation
Appreciation is a word I have operated by since I was a young girl. I didn't realize the importance of it until I got older, and it wasn't always easy to receive.
In a system of greed and control, appreciation is a challenging value to live by. If Appreciation was the lead soldier, the support system behind it would be Courage and Acceptance. The courage to stand up for yourself and the acceptance of others. After that battle is won then love can be felt. Love seems to be the goal of humans when I believe it's the aftermath, or icing to the cake of appreciation and acceptance. To some this might not be making sense, the reason could be, because you already are appreciated and accepted so you possibly felt love easy. Be grateful if that is your story, that is amazing! If that is not your story then it could be time to reroute your love map and take a detour.
Is Appreciation really that important?
It is important because without it , people start pushing their beliefs and values on others, from their perspective of the world. Greed then builds the more followers they get. Then hatred gets built for others who are different. Boundaries are walked over, wars are started and lives are taken. This battle is either going on in the outside world or the inside of us individually. We cannot turn a blind eye to the rising numbers of young kids committing suicide. These kids are paying for the collective consequences of an unthoughtful system and lifestyle. The holes or success in the system start in the family and ripples out into how the world is run. We first must work on appreciation in the family before we can survive outside of the family. The dynamic within your home lives outside of your home. This is why running from it doesn't work, we are all in this together whether you want to be or not.
The cool thing is that we are created to be exactly who we are and nothing else. No matter what job you have and what the pay is, it has an impact and a value. There is no hierarchy of what job has more value because each job fulfills something for someone. We all have to be well for the world to be well, therefore all jobs are important. My husband shared with me a story of the power of ants and how important their job is in the ecosystem, yet we look at them as an annoyance. The truth is we can't live without them. This teaching came from Sadhguru, his quote is,
Never look up to anyone-never look down on anyone. When you see all the way they are, you shall navigate life effectively.
It's never too late to start working on this.
It starts with awareness of the topic and the courage to stand in your truth. Broaden your mind and always look past the foreground of a situation to what is actually going on. That is where truth lies. We are not separate and by each one of us starting to shine, the world will become a brighter place, it is happening right now.
The reason I write this is to help people take the pressure off themselves and to provoke thought about something that is possibly hidden in the subconscious part of the mind. I am here to support when it feels like no one else is getting you. I know that there is no better way to live than being true to yourself. That is when you are set free. We all have a place to stand so know where you stand and stand strong with a glowing heart.
